Hup Holland Hup

En laat de Leeuw niet in zijn hempje staan!
So happy Holland got its first victory in vs Denmark. Granted it came with a gift, but when the ball hits the net, it counts! Watched the game at 6:00AM from my bed and had a blast. Will have to forgo my Saturday morning ride from Red's to watch the next game...
Go Orange, Go Holland!

Love & Support
It has been a good week, busy at the clinic with increasing support for my college Scott.
The renewed connections with Els, Eric, Cameron, Berry and Niels are very heartwarming!
I am assured this adventure will make me stronger in many ways,
while increasing my knowledge of self.
I am enduring pain,
which is not new to me and I am befriending it
with an attitude of 'what doesn't kill me, has to make me stronger' ;)
(I always think of Gibran\The Prophet, when he says: "Most of our pain is self-chosen..")
I am gratefully embracing the love and support of those close around me.
Without naming any more names, you know who you are...
A heartfelt thanks to you!
One day God will bless you for your love shared!

Memorial Day Weekend
What a perfect timing for a 'long weekend', coming out of the week from hell. Sure glad all this is behind me and I'm looking forward to recharging my batteries. Got some major trimming done on the palms around the pool, put some new plants in pots on the patio and tomorrow morning I'll be back on the bike with Jason for a 2hr ride, leaving @6:30 AM from my house. After church I'll be cheering on the Tigers and hope they'll get the SEC Crown!
It's all about timing and who knows.... These boys might host a regional.....

Colnago C50 STO2 Completion

Master Mark Miller\Precison Bikes spotted the beautiful waterbottle cages, to put the finishing touch on my Colnago C50. Mark is known to me to have an eye for detail like no other!
All I can say, watch out people I'm on a quest for the Holy Grail aka "KingOfTheParkingLot"...

Back Entrance???

This is a picture of the backdoor into my Urologist's office. This is a place where I've been violated many times, (though for a good purpose..), and somehow I crack up everytime I see this sign. Guess I have a sick mind after all;)
All joking aside, I love Dr. Bacque, especially when my tests are negative and he skips the prostate test, just to wait for the PSA readings on my blood profile....

Halfway Mark 2010
It seems hard to believe that we are approaching the halfway mark of this year already.
So much has happened in so little time, personal, business and at our state level.
Hence the lack of posting to my blog, pardon me please;)
Needless to say, everybody is on alert with the Deepwater Horizon\BP\Halliburton oilspil in the Gulf of Mexico.
God forbid we get an early storm system, (hurricane season is upon us this coming month), in the Gulf of Mexico pushing the chemical toxins even further inland!
The impact on our way of living here in Louisiana can be tremendous, just think about the seafood industry, the restaurant business, the export....
Yet life goes on and we are committed to make the best of it.
There are always blessings in disguise!
My shoulder continues to heal up, I have regained most of my mobility, strength is back and the pain is lessening. I believe firmly that it will take up to a full year post-op to assess the final result though. It seems that more and more adhesion is forming in the Sterno-Clavicular joint, resulting in better stability.
Yesterday I received the great news of a negative BTA test,
which puts me at 10 years cancer-free!!
Whoop-Whoop;)
